Tuomas Kuusivaara was kind enough to drop by my hotel in Helsinki with the JJ CCR (JJ-CCR.com). The rig is being manufactured in Denmark and looks to be extremely robust, with a Shearwater controller, rear-mounted counterlungs, integrated BOV and intriguing stainless steel stand that not only gives the unit a base, but allows for clipping of sidemounted bail out tanks. The canister itself also features welded rails that allow for mounting of many different sizes of tanks. The engineering quality looks to be excellent. The manufacturers are in the process of seeking CE approval through EN14143 ratings. In the interim, they have posted test data from several components of the unit. Jill Heinerth
